With 75% of our portfolio represented by women-led wineries and producers, we’re not just importing exceptional Italian wines – we are delighted to source and support the incredible producers who craft them.
In honor of Women’s History Month, we’re thrilled to shine a spotlight on the remarkable women behind some of the Dialect Imports labels. These trailblazers are redefining tradition, leading with passion, and crafting wines that reflect their unique stories among Italy’s terroir.
Barone Sergio
Sisters Angela and Luiga are the passionate leaders behind Barone Sergio, located in the sun-drenched vineyards of Pachino, Sicily. Their commitment to preserving their family’s 350 year heritage is evident in every bottle, as they craft expressive, elegant wines that celebrate the unique terroir of southeastern Sicily. With a focus on tradition and sustainability, Angela and Luiga are redefining winemaking in a region known for its rich history, bringing a fresh perspective to an industry long dominated by tradition.
Casa Comerci
At the helm of the historical Casa Comerci winery is Rosa, a visionary who embodies resilience and tradition. Nestled in the rugged hills of Calabria, her wines are a testament to her respect for nature and her deep connection to her homeland. Rosa’s dedication to organic farming and her pursuit of excellence make her wines as inspiring as her journey.
Chiappini
At Giovanni Chiappini, the future of Bolgheri winemaking is in the capable hands of Martina and Lisa Chiappini, who are bringing a fresh perspective to their family’s legacy. Daughters of Giovanni, Martina and Lisa are actively involved in every aspect of the winery, from vineyard management to international outreach. Their dedication to sustainable viticulture and their passion for preserving Bolgheri’s rich terroir resonate with their commitment to excellence and authenticity.
Chiara Condello

Rising to stardom in the wine world and one of the most celebrated winemakers of her generation, Chiara Condello crafts Sangiovese wines that are as vibrant and dynamic as she is. Her philosophy is simple: minimal intervention and maximum expression of terroir. Condé
Condé is synonymous with elegance and innovation, driven by a team that values tradition while embracing modernity. Separate from her eponymous project, Chiara Condello is at the helm of her family’s wine label, as well. With a commitment to sustainable viticulture and a keen sense of place, Condé wines beautifully showcase the complexity of Romagna’s terroir.
Diversitas
Diversitas is more than just a winery; it’s a celebration of fairness and ethics, for which Antonella di Tonno was recently recognized by the Italian National Fair Play Committee. Led by women who believe in the power of community, this Abruzzo winery crafts wines that resonate with character and authenticity. Their approach is rooted in a respect for tradition and a vision for a more inclusive future in wine.
Ferrero
In the picturesque hills of Montalcino, Claudia Ferrero’s daughters Pepita, Silvia and Giulia are dedicated to the estate and its vision to craft exquisite Brunello and Rosso di Montalcino wines that capture the soul of Tuscany. Their meticulous attention to detail and passion for quality make Ferrero wines a true reflection of her artistry and dedication.
Francesca Fiasco
A powerhouse of creativity and precision, Francesca Fiasco brings her unique vision and taste of Campania to the world of Italian wine. Her wines are a harmonious blend of tradition and innovation, capturing the essence of her territory with elegance and flair.
Keplinger
As Dialect Imports’ first domestic producer in the Florida market, Helen Keplinger represents an exciting new chapter in our portfolio. Named Vinous Winemaker of the Year in 2023, Helen is widely regarded as one of California’s most compelling artisanal winemakers. Her small-batch, sustainably farmed wines are deeply site-driven, offering balance, elegance, and a true sense of origin in every bottle. With a philosophy rooted in minimal intervention and profound respect for vineyard expression, Keplinger’s Grenache, Syrah, and Cabernet Sauvignon reflect both her global experience and her unwavering commitment to authenticity. Helen’s precision, curiosity, and dedication to craft align seamlessly with the values that define Dialect Imports — wines that speak clearly of place, nature, and intention.
Sordo
Paola Sordo continues her family’s legacy with grace and determination, producing exceptional Barolo wines that honor tradition while embracing modern techniques. Her leadership in the cellar and vineyard is a testament to her passion for preserving her heritage. We’re excited to partner with her on our private label Barolo.
Madonna Nera
Benedetta Borgogni at Madonna Nera is a force to be reckoned with. Her approach is rooted in respect for the land and an unwavering commitment to excellence. Mentored by Paolo Caciorgna, one of Italy’s most well-regarded enologists, her wines are a beautiful expression of Montalcino’s terroir, each bottle telling a story of passion and perseverance.
Tibaldi
Sisters Monica and Daniela Tibaldi are crafting exceptional wines in Roero with authenticity and heart. Their dynamic partnership brings a fresh perspective to winemaking, balancing tradition with a modern sensibility.
