ABOUT THE WINERY

Named Vinous Winemaker of the Year in 2023, Helen Keplinger is one of California’s most respected artisanal winemakers. Originally from Ohio, Helen moved to California in 1998 to pursue enology at UC Davis, later apprenticing with Heidi Barrett at Paradigm and Kathy Joseph at Fiddlehead. A formative chapter spent making wine in Priorat, Spain deepened her devotion to terroir and old-vine Grenache—an influence that continues to shape her work today.

Helen’s wines are small-batch and rigorously site-driven. She works closely with exceptional vineyards across Napa Valley, the Sierra Foothills, and the Central Coast, focusing on low yields and single-vineyard expressions. While based in Napa, her personal label is defined by Grenache and Syrah alongside select Cabernet Sauvignon from Oakville, offering wines of balance, elegance, and unmistakable sense of origin.
