The Grifalco company was founded in 2004 by  Fabrizio and Cecilia Piccin; the project is currently carried out by their sons Lorenzo and Andrea. They've selected to specialize in Aglianico del Vulture, of which they produce 4 labels and about 70,000 bottles annually. This decision allows them to focus on just one vine and work on its nuances. The winery is highly awarded by both Italian and international media. They've been selected as a Top Wine with Slow Wine, Opera Wine with Wine Spectator, and their ratings consistently range from 92-95 points.
